Background

In Lebanon, Palestinian refugee and migrant women and girls along with young men face systemic discrimination and underrepresentation in media narratives. This project aimed to address this by establishing the Kayani Studio, facilitating capacity-building workshops, producing citizen journalism, and implementing a strategic communication campaign.

Challenges

Approach

Through the Kayani Studio, we empowered women & young men to create their own media content, monitor media bias, and advocate for their rights. The project prioritized gender parity and involve Palestinian refugee and migrants in decision-making roles.
